۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 and would say: "Shall we, then, give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, are we indeed going to be requited? 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 Then, are we not to die 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 then their return is unto Hell. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
