It is He who sends down water from the skies; you drink thereof, and thereof [drink] the plants upon which you pasture your beasts; 10 With it He causes to grow for you the crops, the olives, the date-palms, the grapes, and every kind of fruit. Verily! In this is indeed an evident proof and a manifest sign for people who give thought. 11 And He subjected to you the night and day, and the sun and moon; and the stars are subjected by His command. Surely in that are signs for a people who understand. 12 And [He has subjected] whatever He multiplied for you on the earth of varying colors. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 And He it is Who has subjected the sea that you may eat fresh fish from it and bring forth ornaments from it that you can wear. And you see ships ploughing their course through it so that you may go forth seeking His Bounty and be grateful to Him. 14 He placed stablisers in the earth so that while it revolves you live undisturbed, and rivers and tracks so that you may find your way; 15 and waymarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 So will He Who creates ever be like one who does not create? So do you not heed advice? 17 And if you enumerate the favours of Allah, you will never be able to count them; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 and God knows all that you keep secret as well as all that you bring into the open. 19 Those you call on besides God cannot create anything. They are themselves created. 20 They are not living but are dead. They can not know when they will be raised. 21
