Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
