Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I am purely a Herald of Warning – and there is no God except Allah, the One, the All Dominant.” 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say, "This is momentous news, 67 yet you ignore it. 68 [Say, O Muhammad:] "No knowledge would I have had of [what passed among] the host on high when they argued [against the creation of man,] 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them: 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 Most certainly will I fill hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together!" 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 “And you will come to know of its tidings, after a while.” 88
