Hizb 53

Have you heard the story of Abraham's honoured guests? 24 When they came to him saying, "Peace be with you," he replied to their greeting in the same manner and said to himself, "These are a strange people". 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, and brought a fatted calf, 26 and laid it before them, saying: “Will you not eat?” 27 So he conceived in his mind a fear on account of them. They said: Fear not. And they gave him the good news of a boy possessing knowledge. 28 Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" 29 They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. 30 ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" 31 They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, 32 To send down upon them stones of clay, 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 So We brought the believers out of that they were in. 35 But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). 36 and We left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment. 37 And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. 40 And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind 41 It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. 42 And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" 43 But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; 44 Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
