The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 While eyes are downcast 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 you pay attention 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
