Friday (Al-Jumu'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies God, the King, the All-holy, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 1 He it is who has sent unto the unlettered people an apostle from among themselves, to convey unto them His messages, and to cause them to grow in purity, and to impart unto them the divine writ as well as wisdom - whereas before that they were indeed, most obviously, lost in error 2 And for others among them who have not joined them yet. He is all-mighty and all-wise. 3 Such is the Bounty of Allah, which He bestows on whom He will: and Allah is the Lord of the highest bounty. 4 Those who were charged with bearing the Torah, but did not do so are like an ass carrying a load of books. How unfortunate are those who belie the sign of God. God does not guide the wrongdoers. 5 Say (O Muhammad): O ye who are Jews! If ye claim that ye are favoured of Allah apart from (all) mankind, then long for death if ye are truthful. 6 But never will they long for it, because [they are aware] of what their hands have wrought in this world; and God has full knowledge of evildoers. 7 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Lo! the death from which ye shrink will surely meet you, and afterward ye will be returned unto the Knower of the Invisible and the Visible, and He will tell you what ye used to do. 8
