Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in columns outstretched. 9
