Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O children of Israel, remember the favours I bestowed on you. So keep your pledge to Me, and I will mine to you, and be fearful of Me, 40 And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me. 41 Confound not the Truth with falsehood nor conceal it knowingly. 42 and be constant in prayer, and spend in charity, and bow down in prayer with all who thus bow down. 43 ۞ Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? 44 Find strength in fortitude and prayer, which is heavy and exacting but for those who are humble and meek, 45 Who are certain that they will meet their Lord and that they will return to Him. 46
