Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
