The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And no trifle. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
