Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
