The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?" 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: 'My Lord, my nation have belied me. 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
