Those who deny the truth say, "We shall believe neither in this scripture nor in [any] that [came] before it." Could you but see when the wrongdoers will be made to stand before their Lord, casting blame on one another! Those who had been weak will say to the arrogant ones, "Had it not been for you, we should certainly have been believers!" 31 [And] those who were wont to glory in their arrogance will say unto those who had been weak: "Why - did we keep you [forcibly] from following the right path after it had become obvious to you? Nay, it was but you [yourselves] who were guilty!" 32 But the weak will say to the arrogant: "Not in the least. It was your plotting night and day when you ordered us to disbelieve in God and associate compeers with Him." When they see the punishment they will express repentance. But We shall put iron collars round the necks of infidels. Will they be requited for anything but what they did? 33 And We sent not a warner unto a town but the affluent thereof said: verily in that wherewith ye have been sent we are disbelievers. 34 We are the ones who have more wealth and children and we shall suffer no punishment". 35 Say, "My Lord increases and determines the sustenance of whomever He wants, but most people do not know." 36
