Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
(As for) those who disbelieve and turn away from Allah's way, He shall render their works ineffective. 1 But those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what is sent down to Muhammad -- and it is the truth from their Lord -- He will acquit them of their evil deeds, and dispose their minds aright. 2 This is because the unbelievers follow falsehood while the believers follow the truth from their Lord. As such Allah sets forth for people their examples. 3 So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as a favor or let them ransom (themselves) until the war terminates. That (shall be so); and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have exacted what is due from them, but that He may try some of you by means of others; and (as for) those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will by no means allow their deeds to perish. 4 He will guide them and set their condition right 5 And He shall make them enter the Garden; He shall have made it known unto them. 6 O ye who believe! If ye help Allah, He will help you and will make your foothold firm. 7 The fate of the disbelievers will be to stumble and their deeds will have no virtuous results; 8 That is because they detest that which Allah hath sent down, and so He shall make of non-effect their works. 9 ۞ Have they not travelled the earth and seen how those before them met their end? God destroyed them utterly: a similar fate awaits those who deny the truth. 10 That is because Allah is patron of those who believe, and because the disbelievers have no patron. 11
