The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Was there not a period of time when man was nothing worth mentioning? 1 Verily, it is We who have created man out of a drop of sperm intermingled, so that We might try him [in his later life]: and therefore We made him a being endowed with hearing and sight. 2 Surely We have shown him the way: he may be thankful or unthankful. 3 Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze. 4 Lo! the righteous shall drink of a cup whereof the mixture is of Kafur, 5 which flows from a spring from which the servants of God will drink. 6 Those who fulfil their vows and fear the Day whose evil shall be diffused far and wide, 7 And feed the needy for the love of Him, and the orphans and the captives, 8 We only feed you for Allah's sake; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks: 9 Surely we fear from our Lord a stern, distressful day. 10 So Allah will save them from the evil of that Day and has secured for them radiance and joyfulness, 11 For their patience, He will reward them with Paradise and silk. 12 In that [garden] they will on couches recline, and will know therein neither [burning] sun nor cold severe, 13 The shades of Paradise will bend over them, and its fruits will be brought within their easy reach; 14 Vessels of silver and goblets of pure crystal will be passed round among them 15 crystal-like, [but] of silver - the measure whereof they alone will determine. 16 Therein they shall be served a cup flavoured with ginger, 17 (The water of) a spring therein, named Salsabil. 18 ۞ And round about them shall go youths never altering in age; when you see them you will think them to be scattered pearls. 19 And when thou lookest them thou shalt behold delight and a dominion magnificent. 20 Upon them will be green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver; and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Wine Pure and Holy. 21 [And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated." 22

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
