Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 None except you, O disbelievers – you love what you have, the fleeting one. 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death); 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 To your Lord then will be the driving. 30
