Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 So like golden camels." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
