This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And rely upon the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Poets (Alshu'araa'). Sent down in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)

Click or tap on "random" to go to any random page. Click or tap the triangle to the left of "random" to go to a random page before the current page, or the triangle to the right to go to a random page after the current page. Using these features of ColorfulQuran.com, you can use the right triangle or arrowhead to skim through the entire Holy Book from the first Surah, The Key (Al-Fatihah), to the last, The People (An-Nas), in a few minutes while stopping at random pages in between. This will make your readings cluster more on Juz Amma's short surahs at the end of the Quran. You can also do the same in reverse order using the left triangle or arrowhead, which will cluster your readings more at the beginning of the Holy Quran.
