And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 When (you feel so) glorify your Lord with His praise and prostrate yourself before Him, 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
