Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 We said to Him, "Take a handful of twigs in your hand and strike with that but do not break your oath." We found him steadfast. What an excellent servant! He turned constantly to his Lord. 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 Indeed, We purified them with a most pure quality, the remembrance of the Everlasting Life. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 #NAME? 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ With companions of modest look, the same in age, by their side. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will say nay! it is ye, for whom there is no welcome: it is ye who have brought it upon us. Evil shall be the resting-place. 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
