▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew – 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 in a hidden Book 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 and that hour you are watching 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islamic Monotheism), 92 then he will be served boiling water, 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
