And when We assigned to Ibrahim the place of the House, saying: Do not associate with Me aught, and purify My House for those who make the circuit and stand to pray and bow and prostrate themselves. 26 and publicly proclaim Pilgrimage for all mankind so that they come to you on foot and mounted on lean camels from every distant point 27 That they may witness things that are of benefit to them, and mention the name of Allah on appointed days over the beast of cattle that He hath bestowed upon them. Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor unfortunate. 28 Thereafter let them end their unkemptness and fulfil their vows and circumambulate the ancient House. 29 So it is; and whoever reveres the sacred things of Allah – that is then a goodness for him in the sight of his Lord; the inarticulate animals are lawful to you except those the forbidding of which is recited to you, therefore shun the filth of idols, and avoid false speech. 30 Devoting yourself to Allah, not ascribing any partner to Him; and whoever ascribes partners to Allah is as if he has fallen from the sky and the birds snatch him or the wind blows him away to a far-off place. 31 Thus it is. And whosoever respecteth the rites of Allah, then verily it is from piety of the hearts. 32 In them, you have benefits until an appointed time. After, their place of sacrifice is at the Ancient House. 33
