The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
