Believers, do not accept illegal interest in order to increase your wealth many times over. Have fear of God so that you will have everlasting happiness. 130 And have fear of the Fire which awaits those who deny the Truth. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord; and a Garden, the extensiveness of which is (as) the heavens and the earth, it is prepared for those who guard (against evil). 133 who expend in prosperity and adversity in almsgiving, and restrain their rage, and pardon the offences of their fellowmen; and God loves the good-doers; 134 And those who when they commit an indecency or do injustice to their souls remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their faults-- and who forgives the faults but Allah, and (who) do not knowingly persist in what they have done. 135 Those -- their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and gardens beneath which rivers flow, therein dwelling forever; and how excellent is the wage of those who labour! 136 Many eras have passed before you. Go about, then, in the land and behold the end of those who gave the lie to (the directives and ordinances of Allah). 137 This is a clear statement for men, and a guidance and an admonition to those who guard (against evil). 138 Do not be weak, neither sorrow while you are the upper ones, if you are believers. 139 If a wound hath touched you, be sure a similar wound hath touched the others. Such days (of varying fortunes) We give to men and men by turns: that Allah may know those that believe, and that He may take to Himself from your ranks Martyr-witnesses (to Truth). And Allah loveth not those that do wrong. 140 And that He may purge those who believe and deprive the unbelievers of blessings. 141 Do you think that you will enter the garden while Allah has not yet known those who strive hard from among you, and (He has not) known the patient. 142 You had wished to know death before you faced it (in battle); so now you have seen it before your own eyes. 143
