Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 He raised its height, and He has equally ordered it, 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 And the earth! thereafter He stretched it out. 30 after that bringing forth from it its water and its pasture land, 31 and firmly fixed in it mountains; 32 All this was done as a means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 33 But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), 34 The Day whereon man shall remember whatsoever he had striven for. 35 and when Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds, 37 And preferred the life of the world, 38 surely, Hell will be their refuge. 39 But he who feared to stand before his Lord, and restrained himself from evil desires, 40 Their abode will be the Garden. 41 They ask you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) about the Hour, - when will be its appointed time? 42 You have no knowledge to say anything about it, 43 To your Lord is the goal of it. 44 You are but a Herald of Warning, for one who fears it. 45 The day they see it, it will seem they had stayed in the world but only an evening or its turning into dawn. 46
