The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth! 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We will, We can send down a Sign to them from heaven, so their necks will be humbled to it. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 So, they belied, but surely the tidings of that they mocked will come to them. 6 Do they not see the earth, and what beneficial kinds of things We have caused to grow in it? 7 Verily there are signs in this; yet many of them do not believe. 8 And indeed your Lord – indeed only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 9
