Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Hath there come unto thee the story of the Enveloping Event? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 No food shall be theirs save bitter thorn, 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Many faces will be joyous on that day, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 and well spread carpets. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 how the heavens are raised up high, 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 But whoso is averse and disbelieveth, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
