The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
