Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 is it their minds that prompt them [to say] this, or are they merely insolent people? 32 Do they say: “He has himself fabricated the Qur'an?” No; the truth is that they are altogether averse to believing. 33 Let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth. 34 Or were they created of themselves? Or are they the creators? 35 Or, did they create the heavens and the earth? No, their belief is not certain! 36 Or are thy Lord's treasuries in their keeping? Or are they the registrars? 37 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down? 41 Or are they planning a conspiracy? So the conspiracy will befall only upon the disbelievers. 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 Extol His glory at night, and at the setting of the stars. 49
