Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
