Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or do they say: A poet, we wait for him the evil accidents of time. 30 Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" 31 Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Have they not been created from some source, or are they themselves the creators? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)? 37 Or do they have any stairs, climbing upon which they eavesdrop? So their eavesdropper should bring some clear proof! 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or are they planning a conspiracy? So the conspiracy will befall only upon the disbelievers. 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from the sky they would say: 'A massed cloud' 44 Wherefore let them alone, till they meet their Day whereon they shall swoon. 45 The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
