The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they sat by it, 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
