And certainly the warning came to Firon's people. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 On the Day whereon they shall be dragged into the Fire upon their faces, it shall be said unto them: taste the touch of the Scorching. 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 And everything they have done is in the writings. 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55
