Mutual Blaming (Al-Taghaabun)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
ALL THAT IS in the heavens and all that is on earth extols God's limitless glory: His is all dominion, and to Him all praise is due; and He has the power to will anything. 1 He it is Who created you, then some of you are disbelievers and some of you are believers. And Allah is All-Seer of what you do. 2 He created the heavens and earth in truth and formed you and perfected your forms; and to Him is the [final] destination. 3 He knoweth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and He knoweth whatsoever ye keep secret, and whatsoever ye make known; and Allah is the Knower of whatsoever is in the breasts. 4 Have you not received the news about the disbelievers living before you who suffered the consequences of their deeds and will suffer a painful torment? 5 That was because their messengers came to them with clear signs, but they replied, "Shall mortals be our guides?" And so they rejected the truth and turned away. God has no need of such people; God is self-sufficient and worthy of all praise. 6 Those who disbelieve assert that they shall not be raised. Say thou 'Yea! by my Lord, ye shall surely be raised, and then unto you shall be declared that which ye have worked; and that is for Allah easy. 7 So believe in Allah and in His Messenger and in the Light that We have sent down. Allah is fully aware of what you do. 8 (And remember) the Day when He will gather you (all) on the Day of Gathering, that will be the Day of mutual loss and gain (i.e. loss for the disbelievers as they will enter the Hell-fire and gain for the believers as they will enter Paradise). And whosoever believes in Allah and performs righteous good deeds, He will remit from him his sins, and will admit him to Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) to dwell therein forever, that will be the great success. 9 But those who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, such are owners of the Fire; they will abide therein - a hapless journey's end! 10
