Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know what you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
