The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the aligners (angels) aligning. 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 and if they see any Sign, they laugh it away 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
