NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until death approached us". 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
