No! By the moon 32 By the receding night 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 A warning to mortals, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
