Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
