The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 by those that swim serenely 3 And by those that press forward as in a race (i.e. the angels or stars or the horses, etc.). 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
