The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 then he mustered 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 you pay attention 25 Surely there is a great lesson in it for whoever would fear (Allah). 26
