He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 or have been reminded [of the truth,] and helped by this reminder. 4 Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient 5 To him do you address yourself. 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] 8 and fears (Allah), 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; 17 Of what did He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 Then when He pleases, He will bring him back to life. 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 And We made corn grow, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And dense gardens, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when there comes the Deafening Blast 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 and his mother and his father; 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
