Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
