The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Woe to those who are fraudulent in (weighing and measuring), 1 Those who, when they take by measure from mankind, exact the full, 2 But when they measure out to others or weigh out for them, they are deficient. 3 Do they not think they will be raised (to life) again 4 On a grievous day, 5 The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds? 6 Indeed! The record of the wicked is in the Sijjin -- 7 And what will make thee know whatsoever the record in Sijjin is? 8 The record is a sealed text. 9 Woe, that Day, to the deniers, 10 those that give the lie to the Day of Recompense. 11 for, none gives the lie to it but such as are wont to transgress against all that is [and are] immersed in sin: 12 When Our revelations are recited before him, he says: "These are fables of long ago." 13 Nay! But on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn. 14 Therefore they will be screened off from their Lord that day, 15 Further, they will enter the Fire of Hell. 16 Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny." 17 Nay! Verily, the Record (writing of the deeds) of Al-Abrar (the pious who fear Allah and avoid evil), is (preserved) in 'Illiyyun. 18 And what could make thee conceive what that mode most lofty will be? 19 A record of good deeds written. 20 To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). 21 Most surely the righteous shall be in bliss, 22 reclining on couches, reviewing (the bounties given to them). 23 You can trace on their faces the joy of their bliss. 24 They will be given to drink pure sealed wine. 25 whose seal is musk -- so after that let the strivers strive -- 26 With it will be (given) a mixture of Tasnim: 27 A spring whereof drink those nearest to Allah. 28 Verily those who have sinned were wont at those who had believed to laugh, 29 when they passed by them, they would wink at one another; 30 And whilst returning to their homes, they used to return rejoicing. 31 And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray!" 32 (they said so although) they had not been appointed watchers over them. 33 Wherefore Today, those who believed at the infidels are laughing, 34 On high couches, gazing. 35 "Are these deniers of the truth being [thus] requited for [aught but] what they were wont to do?" 36
Almighty Allah's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
