The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
