Exalted is He who put constellations in the heavens, a radiant lamp and an illuminating moon -- 61 And He it is Who hath appointed night and day in succession, for him who desireth to remember, or desireth thankfulness. 62 The worshipers of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth, and when the ignorant address them say: 'Peace' 63 who pass their nights in prostrating themselves and standing before their Lord: 64 And who say: Our Lord! Avert from us the doom of hell; lo! the doom thereof is anguish; 65 evil it is as a lodging-place and an abode'; 66 and who, whenever they spend on others, are neither wasteful nor niggardly but [remember that] there is always a just mean between those [two extremes]; 67 And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty; 68 of sin-doubled shall be the chastisement for him on the Resurrection Day, and he shall dwell therein humbled, 69 Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, 70 And whosoever repenteth and doeth good, he verily repenteth toward Allah with true repentance - 71 And they who do not bear witness to what is false, and when they pass by what is vain, they pass by nobly. 72 who do not turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the signs of their Lord when they are reminded of them; 73 And who say: Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring, and make us patterns for (all) those who ward off (evil). 74 Such are the people who will be rewarded with high palaces for their fortitude,, wherein they will be welcomed with due respect, honour and salutations 75 Abiders therein: excellent it is as an abode and as a station. 76 Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!" 77
