Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
