Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
