Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
